Who are you?

We are The Campus, part of De Cronos Groep. Our goal is to help IT professionals develop and expend their professional skills.

Where are you located?

Most of the time you can find us in our home offices (well yes, since corona of course). If you'd like to get to know us with a real cup of coffee instead of a virtual one, you’re always welcome in our head office in Belgium.

Where can I attend a training?

Many of our training courses are virtual instructor-led training courses (vILT). This means you can attend them from your own (home) office. Our instructor-led training courses (ILT) are organized at various locations in Belgium and The Netherlands. Check your preferred training course to see where the next one is held.

We can organize in-company training courses at the location of your choice.

Can I take an exam at The Campus?

No, you can’t certify yourself at The Campus. As a PSI, Kryterion and Pearson Vue Test Center, Xplore Group offers you the possibility to take an exam in their test centers in Kontich or Hasselt.

What is the difference between classroom training and virtual or live online training?

A classroom training is an instructor-led, in-person training which takes place in a classroom. A virtual or live online training is an instructor-led training where the instructor facilitates the training via web conferencing (Cisco WebEx). Both classroom and virtual training courses provide access to a real instructor with experience on the subject. It’s good to know that the presence of an instructor does offer an interactive, human experience. You can read more about the differences in this article.

What is the difference between a live online training and e-learning?

A virtual or live online training is an instructor-led training where the instructor facilitates the training via web conferencing (Cisco WebEx). It provides access to a real instructor with experience on the subject. E-learning offers access to course materials for a certain amount of time (mostly somewhere between 30 and 90 days). There is no instructor available, as opposed to a live online training. E-learning allows you to self-study the course material whenever and wherever you want, at your own pace. When your access ends, you often have the possibility to take an online exam to obtain a certification. You can read more about the differences in this article.

Does a live online training course have the same quality as a classroom training course?

Yes. Both versions of the training have the same quality because they offer the same training content, delivered by an experienced instructor. There is room for interaction with other students and the trainer, and the trainer will provide full support throughout the training if you have any questions regarding the course material. Our live online instructors have lots of tools at hand to ensure the live online training has the same quality of a classroom training. For example, our trainers can add students to breakout rooms to allow them to work together, and they can request to take over your screen and help you if you're having trouble with a certain lab or exercise.

Is there a difference in cost between in-classroom training and live online training?

Yes. Live online training courses are a bit cheaper since they are lower in cost.

How do I access a live online training course?

You will receive a link to join the live online training via email a few days before the start of the course. Simply click the link in the email to join the virtual training room.

In which language will my training course be held?

This depends on the audience, and is hard to predict in advance. If all students speak Dutch, the training will be held in Dutch. If one or more students speak another language, the training will be held in English. The slides used during the course will always be provided in English.

Some training courses are held in Dutch only. This is always indicated on the training page.

Can I obtain the course materials without attending the course?

Course materials are only provided to students who registered for a course.

Are there prerequisites for the training courses you offer?

Some of the courses do have prerequisites. The prerequisites are always mentioned on the training info page of the course.

How do I know whether I successfully registered for a training course?

You will receive a confirmation email from us once your registration has been processed.

Are food and drinks provided during a classroom training?

Yes, lunch and coffee breaks are included in the price of a public scheduled classroom training.

I registered for a classroom training, but I have certain allergies or special dietary needs. Will you take this into account?

Of course! We will send you an email with practical information about the training where we will ask you to let us know if you have any special dietary needs. Simply reply to the email, and we will make sure you can enjoy your lunch without worries.

What do I need to follow a training?
  • When it concerns a live online training: your laptop, a stable internet connection, a webcam and a microphone.

  • When it concerns a classroom training: you only need your own laptop. You will receive a notepad and a pen at the location.

Will printed course notes be provided?

No. We want to limit our ecological footprint, so all course materials will be delivered to you online.

Can courses be taught at my site?

Can I get a refund if I registered for a training, but have to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances (such as illness)?

If a registration is canceled up to 14 calendar days before the start of the course, the registration fee will be refunded. There will be a deduction of 25 euros administration costs and any costs incurred. Half of the registration fee will be refunded if the cancellation occurs between 14 and 7 calendar days before the start of the course. In case of cancellation less than 7 calendar days before the start of the course, the full registration fee is due.

Can I send a colleague in my place if I can’t make it to training?

Yes, you can send a colleague in your place at no cost if you are not able to make it to the training until 7 business days before the start of the training. In case we have to make the changes later than 7 business days before the start of the course, additional expenses may be invoiced, such as courseware material for official VMware Tanzu or AWS training courses.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes, we do have the occasional promotion, but discounts are not standard. Keep an eye on our website and our social media to see our current promotions. You can also subscribe to our newsletter to receive our latest promotions.
