Design and analysis of experiments

Duration

1 - 5 days

Audience

Data scientists, statisticians.

Course Objectives

Experimental Design or Design of Experiments (DOE, DOX) is the design of any task that aims to describe or explain the variation of information under conditions that are hypothesized to reflect the variation.

This is a course that can be constructed in several parts. The full course takes five days and has been given many times for R&D departments in several industries. It deals with classical experimental design and potentially how to build models on computer simulations.

Prerequisites

Statistics knowledge on hypothesis testing is a plus.

Course Overview

Topics that can be selected are:

  • Introduction to Hypothesis Testing

  • Factorial & Fractional Factorial Design

  • Analysis of Variance (ANOVA)

  • Multi-Variate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA)

  • Optimal Design of Experiments

  • Mixture Experiments

  • Design and Analysis for Computer Experiments (DACE)
