Business Intelligence: Basics
Business Intelligence (BI) is inevitable for every organization. Without Business Intelligence, your organization doesn’t count anymore today, and you won’t be able to compete with other businesses.
With Business Intelligence, everyone within your organization has access to the right information at the right time. This information is easily accessible and gives all employees the ability to make the right decisions on the basis of reliable and current information. By using this information optimally with Business Intelligence, your organization will perform better, and you will be able to gain more profit. Insight, saving time, optimalisation, control, better decisions and information. Which organization doesn’t want that?
During this training, we discuss why Business Intelligence is valuable, who you need in your team, where you need to start and which pitfalls you need to avoid. We discuss data warehousing and dimensional modelling, and why these things are important. We will use the BI tools Pentaho, ETL and Qlikview for visualization.
After this training, you will:
Be able to develop a dimensional model;
Be able to set up your ETL-process to put your data in your data warehouse;
Know how to make a connection with your data warehouse and how to use the data in tools like Qlikview and Tableau.
This is a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) training. Please bring your own laptop to the course.
This course is suitable for everyone who is involved in Business Intelligence projects or solutions: business analysts, business architects, functional analysts, process managers and employees, IT architects and all IT professionals who are interested in business intelligence.
